Okay cool. I'm looking forward to seeing your routes.

I'm hoping to be able to ride along the KNP perimeter fence if possible. Otherwise the hills to the South look like a lot of fun too!

You can Ride alongside the perimeter fence in Marloth Park. You Can Park your car at the gate or at the "watergat" shopping centre in Marloth, then ride straight to the main gate and turn left. Keep left and you will be riding alongside the KNP Fence as well as Lion park. but you will see when I send you the gpx files.

You can go and have a look at my strava profile. Theres a couple of Marloth Park rides. Haven't been Cycling that much lately. lol. My profile is Martin van Gass

I just returned from your neck of the woods. After spending 2 weeks in Kruger, we had a bit of r&r in Marloth Park before tackling the long drive home to Cape Town. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many mountain bikers all over the area. My bikes had to stay at home, so, sadly, I didn't get to do any riding.

Something interesting I noticed was how many people, commuters mostly, ride against the traffic (i.e. on the right shoulder of the road.) in all of Mpumelanga. It must be a self preservation method that I don't understand.

Yeah, I would also rather see those trucks coming rather than trust that they'll leave enough space on the shoulder!

@Lexx - Is that Big 5 MTB race route on private land or is that open to the public? I was looking at that trail on google maps yesterday and was drooling a little!

I must admit that, even in the Landy, some of those sugar cane trucks seriously intimidated me. At least they were better than the coal trucks around Ermelo. Scary!

Yip, the people here don't like riding when they can't see what is approaching from the back. Here's alot of MTB'S in my area. And awesome trails to go with it next to the KrugerPark.

Yip, it's all on Private Land. But it's an amazing route. You are riding right next to the Kruger Park fence a couple of Km's. And the wild Life is Pretty Amazing. They are very Strict when it comes to riding on their Land. Because people abused it in the Past, and now it's a problem for all of us. But Marloth Park have pretty much the same scenery as well. The Malelane Routes are Called the Kaalrug routes on my Strava. Long Long Climbs but the views are pretty good. And it's pretty safe to ride there.
