fees Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 I am curious to find out if there are any other triathletes on the site that are doing Ironman SA 2008? I know this is a cycling hub but we do also ride 180km solo in our race...

fees Posted January 4, 2008 Author Posted January 4, 2008 Ox Wagon - we probably did meet at the get together at the Wimpy. I have a bad memory so sorry about that. I saw Cervelo at the Joburg Tri Series. Attie - I think it is going ok but with the difference in race date it is hard to judge where exactly I am compared to last year. I can't judge running races that I did last year like the Dischem because it is 4 weeks earlier in the training than last year. You doing IM this year?

AttieSlabbert Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 The change in race date through me off this year. We're going to SA for 3 weeks from January 23 to Feb 14. Just for a vacation. Will still train a little while there. Want to go back to make it a better one- had pneumonia last year and didn't know it. But Ironman is always an experience no matter what! But how do you feel about your training so far?

I played soccer for 25 years, go figure.[/quote'] Like i said I tried, but serious rugby took a lot of Do out of my sport and the knees DoNot like the running so before i could race i stopped. I would love the swim and cycle. Good luck for the season.
