wesley_r Posted August 28, 2012 Share Nope - as I hinted at earlier on the thread I ended up getting a Dartmoor Simple chain guide (http://dialdbikes.co.za/dartmoor-simple-chain-guide.html), which has made my drivetrain ultra reliable - no more dropping chains! So for now it's still 2x9 - the idea to go 1x10 is shelved, for now! (Still want to revisit it in the future Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have it on good authority that you can use the 9-speed chain and derailleur just fine (and if you think about it, it makes sense too ) in a 10-speed set-up! P.S.
