I got my new baby last week - never been on a mtb before and a buddy took me on my first ride to Tokai forest.  Absolutely brilliant!!  Big%20smile

As part of my initiation, I had to go through thick sand and obviously came off spectacularly.smiley9.gif  The problem I now have is that my chain (and everything else) is full of sand.  What is the best (and quickest) way to get rid of sand on my chain.  Also are there any MTB sites that I can visit to enlighten me?

if you just hose your bike down and then clean the chain with a chain cleaning device (can be bought at any good bike shop, sportsmans too) that should do the trick. Dont forget to relube.

there are alot of place online to go check out biking stuff just google it otherwise for riding tips there is a book out by Brian Lopes and Lee mc Cormack, Cant remember the title but can post it when I get home and check it out.
