I don't think it needs to be a sufferfest, I do think the way it's been handled by the 3 Towers and Berg & Bush crew is better though, give the riders that want it a really tough course and those that don't a shorter option.

I have a demanding job, 2 young kids and still make time to get about 10 hours a week in the saddle and enjoy a more challenging course. Having said that by day 8 of Joberg2c I think I I'll prefer the easier day with less climbing

See you at Joberg2C. Not sure 10 hours a week is enough though!

hrs a week is more than enough if structured properly. Not may top 50 finishers do more than that. It is the quality that counts not quantity.

Couldn't agree more, most important is quality of the program. I was just in the top 100, going to ride, not race

Just spoken to Farmer Glen and he has asured me that day 2 is not MUCH easier that last year - it is basically the same route as last year EXCEPT that, that bitch climb at the end of the day with the tricky decent over the rock is no more. They have made a track down next to the tar road on the right hand-side into the overnight stop

They musy make it all harder, including Epic. Tired of my sport been taken over by the golfing crew! The guys at Sani must ride faster....
