Eh, i don't know...just seemed harder for me and i checked my mates times from last year shova - they took longer to complete Tour compared to Shova.

Anyhoo, i may sing a different tune after shova 2012 ;p

Shova is downhill for 38km the tour of Durban is a much harder race imho. So mcuh more climbing than the Shova

I did a 3:27 in the rain last year in the Shova and was semi fit. Felt strong for the TOD and pushed all the way and did a 3:31. The M4 just seemed to go on forever and the hills after 15km up to Pinetown where hectic. In the Shova, if you can get past Hillcrest you are home free, and can pump all the way home. See how you feel this year doing the Shova, I am sure you will do a much better time. I am aiming for a 2:50 in the Shova this year which I think is achievable.........

I did TD on ZERO training, but have started back training this week, so yeah it will be interesting to compare but not really a fair comparison. Also the last time I rode Shova was in a cow suit, that might also make a difference.
