To the two riders who kindly stopped to assist me with spares near the end of the race when i had tyre problems please contact you so that i can arrange delivery of replacement spares to you. Thanks again guys your sportsmanship was much apprecaited!!

Chances are good that 25 or more people were kindly assisted during the race - I know of several.

You might need to provide some specifics in order to ID the correct persons and thank them appropriately.

Names; your name; rides; gear - something?

If you dont get hold of them ( I also know of a few people who needed assistance and we also stopped twice to help where we could) , go with the 'pay-it-forward' philosophy..... I certainly hope that when I am stuck at a race with a flat or whatever that someone will take the time to assist me to.

One guy stopped and lent me a tube and hand pump (Darren?), another a few bombs and inflater (Ettienne?)

We also stopped and helped to get a chain out between the cassette and spokes.

He was able to finish the race with us

Good sportsmanship is always appreciated.

Were you the guy in the black & yellow kit (on his fourth puncture) forlornly pushing his bike the last 10Km’s or so?

i was in the exact mood you described - in black and white kit - after 5 puncture stops - pushing the last 7 odd k's back at around the 4h15 mark by then !!

It could’ve been us. We gave some poor sod a spare tube & inflator. Keep the kit and pass it on to the next unfortunate that needs help.

Good work Hfx0, must have been another equally unhappy sod as i got inflator and bombs, no tube, from the one samaritan
