no - and you should be able to use your spokes - so you'll be in for like 500 total with a rim swop and retrue

Ya but its not every DH event / ride / race run that you pretzel your wheel! ... :ph34r: touch wood - i havent hurt my bike in 3 years - have actually done more damage to my xc bike! hahaha

That's because you use the right equipment for DH and probably try stupid stuff on your XC bike :ph34r: :D

donno - just make sure that if you change rims that the rim height is similar to your current rims as this defines the length of spoke needed - sometimes you can get away with using the same spokes - but if the height is really different you will either need longer or shorter spokes

HAHAHA ya ... you know that singletrack trail down from hillcrest next to the m13 highway below polo pony that ends across the river and concrete causeway (thats washed away) ... I tried to gap that wash away on my XC bike ... result was 1x massive case and a HUGE flatspot in my XT wheelset ... and 2 cracks in my frame ... hahahaha ... oops

which shops in durbs have a variety of full face helmets?

when im ready id like to try a few on for fit rather than buying blind.

HAHAHA ya ... you know that singletrack trail down from hillcrest next to the m13 highway below polo pony that ends across the river and concrete causeway (thats washed away) ... If you go across the highway to the otherside there is a mean little downhill that leads to a river crossing. I reckon with a few spades and some trees we could build a ramp that could clear that gap (and the landing on the otherside is softer than the concrete causeway...)

 

Looks like they have blocked that singletrack off? Have you ridden there lately?
