Why don'y you just stick with what you know? Ricos was a blast for a first timer. Everybody that attended had a jol and nobody got hurt (except for naartjie.... It was onlt a flesh wound so it doesn't count....)

Pretty much everything was rideable for us considering our experience and our equipment. I would be happy to go back there and I think it is a good introduction for a n00b.

maybe someone should approach Virgina Farms to put in a DH ... Dave Drummond spoke of it awhile back - but i didnt have time to go and look and build a brand new track

I rode there once and I am sure that there is potential there for a DH track. I think the owners name is Pete. Haven't been there for a LONG time though... Dislocated my shoulder the last time I rode there!

There is an area being zoned for a XC course at the new Durban Airport, i have spotted a few areas that could be used for a potential DH course and worth exploring further. That would suit me perfectly as i work at the airport and can go for a ride before and after work!!!!

no no no make it by the old airport :P suits me far better

cranks should be here soon, then the bike is ready to roll. I can use my X.T if my new set don't arrive on time. and dont worry, that's the reason i am building this bike is to come join you guys at the races again, and have a little fun. sorry a lot of fun!!

GOOD BOY!! ... check you at the race

If you okes are looking for a cheap bike to start on this might work ... not a FULL-blown DH rig ... but is good enough to get you started at a cheap price
