SwissVan Posted May 30, 2012 Share Raait hubbers suggestions required pse: Can anyof you Xterra types recommend a MTB compatible shoe suitable for off road triathlon?By suitable I mean one that can be worn comfortably without a sock i.e. it has some sort of sock liner as part of the shoe internals.Need to cut my transistion times down and stop wasting time trying to put socks on wet feet. My current mtb shoes are to small / history and looking for a new pair that wont chafe on my toe "knuckles"

Do you know if the have a comfortable sock type liner inside or are they the same as normal shoes inside? I bought a pair of the Sidi's last year from CRC but they were a size to big and not very comfortable without socks. Both the Specz and Sidi dont have a tongue, which i suppose is to make putting your feet in them easier which is fine for racing but seems a bit spaz for normal usage....but thats just a perception as I have not used them yet still using my old shoes...
