I really dont like how Discovery wants to take over your whole life. I am sometimes quite pissed off at the discount Discovery members get at Pick n Pay which are much better than their loyalty card.

Just remember that there's a catch with going to Diamond. You have to maintain gold for 3 years and then the following year you will be on Diamond. So for example:

 

2012: Reach Gold

2013: Maintain Gold

2014: Maintain Gold - Stay on Gold until the end of the year. Move to Diamond from 1 Jan of next year.

2015: From 1 January move to Diamond status.

 

Might be useless information but this caught me out. I thought as soon as I reached gold on the 3rd year that I'd be moved to Gold but not so.

Glad I'm not the only one that made that mistake! Last yr was our third year on gold - so I arranged all the tests etc in Jan so we could quickly reach it and go straight to diamond! Reached gold by early feb - then realsied I had misinterpreted the 3 consecutive years....
