I thought for a moment there that they are going superman style and wearing their underwear over their shorts!

Will they at least add our sa champs bannds or do you have to order special kit for that

Are you a current champion in your grade? It's worth finding out if champion stripes can get put on national kit. I can't recall seeing the world champ kit during the olympics.

You raise valid points many of which I'm not disputing, My point is that CSA should ensure when there is an international event with South African athletes representing their nation (regardless of whether or not its at an elite level) that the athletes have a national kit much like governing bodies in other sporting disciplines do in SA, all selected athletes have paid license fees over the years and are participating based on merit so why cant CSA contribute a little?

This of course is merely my opinion, we all have these and wont all agree

I do hear what you're saying and it did happen once upon a time. Things do change, but it's worth trying to get back to that point. This, for one, is a good step forward. Perhaps next time round a sponsor can make up the difference in cost.

We all have the power to influence this, we all have the passion, but it's often times too much for one person to take on.

It feels like such an isolated event when not dressed up to represent your country, and intimidating when riding against a mass of italians who are dressed alike. I hope this time round, especially because we're hosting, that we get to intimidate and feel proud. I'm sorry if that sounded cheesy :)

KIT DEF DOESNT LOOK GREAT , BUT I AGREE , WE ARE EFFECTIVELY REPRESENTING SOUTH AFRICA , I SAW THE ITALIAN TEAM AT THE GIRO THIS YEAR , ALL WEARING THEIR NATIONAL KIT, AND THEY WILL BE HERE ON MASS FOR THE UWCT FINALS. MAYBE CSA DOESNT HAVE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE COST BUT, MAYBE THEY CAN APPLY SOME LEVERAGE TO SOME OF THE BIG CORPORATES TO ADD SOME FORM OF SPONSERSHIP .
