Bike rack for 2012 VW Tiguan

Hi, I have just aquired a 2012. VW Tiguan. With factory fitted fold-out towbar. As per manufacture's recommendation, a max weight of 75kg is allowed at 300mm from the ball. I would like to load 4 mtb's on a platform carrier, and I would appreciate any advice or experience in this regard.

Go to the VW website and have a look at their accessories. They have a range of VW bike carriers which are about half the price of Thule, but of similar qulaity. I have owned both Thule and VW bike carriers. Both great!

Why did u go for the Tiguan if I may ask?

The key is finding something that can practically fit 4 bikes without hanging them from the top tube. Its tight, but with the 928-1 bike adapter it would be possible to fit 4 bikes. It may mean having to re arrange bikes to make sure that they all fit back end to front end after each other and changing seat hights when loading, but definately possible. This would be the one I would get.
