so I got me an old classic frame....

I'm currently just builiding it as another spare for wannabe cyclist friends ... but at the same time I'm collecting as near original spec bits and pieces - when I've got the lot it's off-with-the-old , spray the frame and rebuild as a classic wall hanging.

QuestionSo what should the end result look likeQuestion

List your spec's

*Frame paint jobQuestion

*Chrome fork (I think it should stay this way)Question

*GearsQuestion

*ChainringsQuestion

*DerailleursQuestion

*RimsQuestion

*HubsQuestion

*CranksQuestion

*PedalsQuestion

*Bar & StemQuestion

*Seat post and saddleQuestion

I'll post the album of the project when all is done . . .

Is it Columbus SL or SLX? I'd go with a Red frame, and chromed rear stays, with a chrome fork.

Campagnolo Record if you can get. (Old style)

I know Kyalami cycles still have a lot of the old Campagnolo in stock. Pre ERGOPOWER brake levers, and downtube shifters.

Cinelli Oyster stem, with Cinelli TOP64 bars...

Mavic Mach 2CD2 rims...

Rolls saddle...

But if your gonna go Italian, you have to keep it Italian...Campag all the way!!

If you get tired of it...I'll be willing to take over for you!!

Man I envy you!!

You could also go with an old black 3TTT stem, with a Roubaix bar. That would look nice.

South Africas greatest ever road racer (Sean Van Zyl) used to ride a Red Pinarello, with Dura Ace. It was pre STI days, but it was an impressive bike.

a quill stem and old Cinelli bars is a must. I do have a old set lying around somewhere. If you are looking for the Rolls saddle, I have a few on back order. Regal saddle also an option and still widely used by the pro peleton. Of course, if you looking for the latest Pinarello, just shout.

Scorpione??? Did you get my email?? You sent me those pics, and I've not heard from you in reply??

Anyway, I must agree...a Regal saddle would go down damn well...but it must have gold studs!!!
