Will try and get to the skills workshop to check it out, with a view to riding future events.

Ah cr@p, I forgot about this and have made other plans for the 21st *facepalm*

Will have to arrange another skills day. What do you charge for one on one?

My approach to bike skills development is that skills are a function of your level of conditioning and that it entails much more than just doing a manual/bunny-hop or doing a drop. If I teach you to "ride on water" and you do not use the skill, you will lose it again. It is therefore a program consisting of a series of workshops, starting with determining and defining your ultimate goal you want to achieve, and assessing your current level of conditioning with respect to that goal, and using that to build your personalized program. The normal cost is R300 per week per person. As for the skills workshop we plan for Sat morning we will focus on the obstacles on the route itself.

Race route marked today - awesome route, flowing, with 1 or 2 challenges, chicken runs included. Line entries & official training tomorrow 9-16h00. Late entries Sat 7h00-10h00 - no excuses not to ride ...

Came over for a look-see after not knowing whether my ducks would be in a row for the race itself on Saturday morning - disappointed in the turnout, the price of grindage (R30 for a frankfurter on a roll - really?) but mostly disappointed that I did not enter - the route looked really lekker.

The menu had quite an array at varying prices ... Seems that local mountain bikers are still afraid that XCO is too "difficult" and opt for "easier" riding. Watch our next route for 13 October - its going to be a ball. We will be doing time trails on Sat mornings to get prospective riders acquainted with the route. Will advertise on theHub.

Look, I'm not really one for complaining, but felt that Sausage Saloon was a ripoff. Not to mention the cheapest grub there ... lol, everything was R30, even a Prego Roll (but my 4 year old wouldn't have appreciated that) No harm no foul, will just take own grub next time :)
