Hey,

It has been very quiet on here, i have been a bit absent myself but will be back for this one...

Who is in for the September Edition of the Pretoria Critical Mass ride?

Posted

My wife am I will be first timers next Friday :-)

Just checking that there isn't a fancy dress this time or a collection of some sort? Just bikes, lights and beer money required?

Was a nice evening out although the 5min rain likely persuaded some not to come. The bunch split up into bits and pieces with the robots in hatfield! we clearly didn't follow the right guys and ended up at Eastwoods. Should've brought more money :-(

Oh well, went back earlier to the starting point and the rolls were good! Left when the cold beer was finished ...

Plenty interesting people and bikes, definitely must pimp my ride before the next one !!

Glad you had a good ride!

There was a bit of break and "faster" group rode out front. As long as you had a good time its all good!!

See you at the next one!!

Is there an official website for this event with more info and entry?

Entry is free! Put a light or 7 on your bike and dress "differently". Bring money for beer and boeries and you are sorted ...

Use the Facebook page to accept the event and invite others ... See you on Friday :-)

Remember that hi is Halloween / Fancy dress time! Come dressed to the nines.

Lots have been happening behind the scenes to help with safety and other issues of the past - hell's bells you may even see some flyers and posters in Pretoria cycle shops :)

Hey all.

With all the responses, I have lost track of the start of the CM for October.

Please can someone confirm the details and start times and also if there is enough time to do what is suggested in the other forums relating to the recent attacks?

Thanks

Start time: 19h00

Place: Huckleberry's at Magnolie Dell

The route has been pre-planned, and I do not think it will / can be changed to go ride around a dangerous squatter camp this quickly. Also, that's not the idea behind CritMass IMHO. That ride is important, but should not be confused with Critical Mass and should be addressed / organized elsewhere (although a lot of people riding critmass will also go to the awareness/protest ride, there are a lot of young kids also riding with)
