  1. I installed my XTR Di2 myself and it was a breeze, and what a pleasure to ride, I highly recommend it.
  2. Awesome review, is this a unisex bike?
  3. I work rotations away from home and am away a few weeks at a time, at work I Spin one day and do weights the next for the week and rest on Sunday and I do a lot of races with no issues, its great and if done right its very beneficial. I also use pre recorded spinning classes from Youtube so its like being in a spinning class back home. it obviously doesnt beat being on the trail but its a great alternative.
  4. OK, so you love mountain biking and like trying new trails, that's what My wife and myself did, we searched for new trails in Pretoria and found another one, looks awesome on the website but was far from it. So we arrive (GPS coordinates are wrong for MTB entrance) eventually. Pay the huge sum of R60 for entrance even though Hakahana is down the road for R40 with Awesome trails. The start is great with a pulley operated cable car to get across the river (no other option) then the fun starts, nothing but boring jeep track, broken fence steps, bad faded signage (Hikers were even lost) and more boring jeep track. Hennops, if you read this please don't advertise your venue as a MTB trail, it clearly is not and no trouble has been made to accommodate MTB riders, we had to constantly climb over steep fence steps that were narrow and not made with bikers in mind, take tips from other venues that have, like Rosemery hill and charge less for people only doing MTB..
  5. If it sounds to good to be true it probably is. There is a scammer (Probably the same one) selling Smart phones at a steal in Bloem, I think they say Bloem because its so far out the way to go and have a look. Keep your cash.
  6. Sorry to hear that you got a side wall injury, it sucks when no one greets and doesn't even ask if you need help, I hope they get plenty of punctures and do a lot of walking.

I found them biased, it annoyed me that a salesperson would think a lady wants a Pink bike, this didn't impress my wife. We use Kajees, best prices and slight negotiation is possible as well as a huge selection.
  8. The best thing in my opinion is to ride and then decide, I am riding a 29er and will never go smaller, its a quick and smooth ride. My wife rides a 26er because she has no choice, she is 5.8 foot and getting on a 29er is like getting on a penny farthing, even a 650b will be to big for her.
  9. Rather go for a 29er or the new 27,5er depending on your size but not high end or expensive, then you can decide if you like off road without breaking the bank straight off the bat. If you like it after 6 months to a year then sell it on the hub and get a better bike, the choice is single or double suspension with the double being more expensive. Another idea is to go to the Cycle fare on the 25 to 27 Oct in JHB, then you can try and ride and see whats out there and get advice.
  10. Not good news at all, Condolences to his family and friends.
  11. What do you members think of this frame, do you know anyone who has one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-29er-carbon-fiber-MTB-full-suspension-frame-full-carbon-mountain-bike-frame-/271270244899?pt=US_Bicycles_Frames&hash=item3f28f77223 Any advice will be appreciated Thanks
  12. I agree, a lot of ads dont give all the specs and then a back and forth conversation starts with you trying to suck info, please just put all the specs as well as good quality photos and more than one. This will help in making a decision and cut to the chase, not something like (in good condition etc), your good condition and mine are different.
