As the topic suggests...looking for a decent condition 2nd hand truvativ boobar, 740 or 780mm. Would like to avoid couriers/postage missions etc so I'm looking for bars in cape town..?

If you or someone you know has some boobars just laying around (fat chance I know) then let me know..

Thanks

What rise?

I was running boobars on my makulu (before i put renthals on). They're cut to 740mm, 30mm rise.

Shot for the reply Patches, ye i should have included the rise in the original post...looking for the lower rise version...15 or 20mm rise i think it is.

Just out of curiosity...with your bars being cut to 740mm, can you still get all the controls (shifters and brake levers) on properly before the 'buldge' gets in the way?

yeah, the notorious truvativ bulge!

Well, I was only running 1 shifter, and it was on a match-maker. So in effect it was like I just had 2 brake levers mounted. So no problems there! but if you want it for an AM beast with brake lavers, shifters, and possibly dropper post remote.... then 740 boo bars might get a bit cramped

Ye i thought so...was told that i should look for an uncut 740mm bar which should be fine to accommodate the shifters and levers etc...go look at my latest post to see my new Shova frame...frothing like mad!!! :)

Definitely worth a look! And good price! Shot Patches

Sure thing! FYI, the 3 middle sets are the 20mm rise. I think a set in grey would look awesome with your Shova!

Ye was looking at the grey....reckon it will match the gunsmoke front hub quite nicely! :)

I am running all that on 680mm FSA XC bars.... (It is a bit cramped but possible). You should have acres of space on 740mm...

It's not the width that's a problem... it's the "Truvativ bulge".

Their Truvative Holzfeller, Hussefelt, and Boo Bar desin is such that the taper from the ride is quite far out from the centre of the bar, thus making it hard to position controls inwards.
