  1. im also back in after a good couple of years ignoring these threads. my continual ignorance of my weight is starting to show in my BP/cholesterol etc the tide needs to turn in 2020.
  2. Sure, this is certainly understood, but this is kind of an obvious problem. I should add if i chuck my MTB pedals (old long spindle XT's) on then the issue is gone
  3. No doubt, and i will certainly take that into consideration, however i enjoy tinkering, and even sometimes fudging, i also think that perceived comfort is a pretty good indication of bio mechanical fit.
  4. No bike fitting done, i am basing this on the feeling of comfort. @Mongoose i am running Look Keo Max 2, so i must just get those little spacers, but by the feel it is out by more than 2mm, i also have Spez road shoes, and have moved the cleats quite a bit, and can feel that my feet would prefer the cleats more to the middle of the shoe.
  5. Hey all, Posting this here in the hope that someone can assist. I have a road bike with look Keo Max 2 pedals. My Feet feel WAY too close to the crank, i have moved my cleats as close i can to the inside of my shoes (that in itself doesnt feel great) does anyone know where i can get these without importing them (as the shipping is more than the part) - for the below i am looking at like R750!!!!! I have not purchased the addon for the pedals, as they gain 2mm only and i doubt that is enough. any idea's (I am open to ghetto mods)
  6. cool Hairy, you are welcome to take it for a spin. I will Pm you my deets and we can meet up sometime.
  7. Thanks man, it is a large frame and i am 182/183cm, the frame is rather roomy, i could have gone medium. I imported a Soma Steel MTB fork (made by tange) aaaages ago, it's been powdercoated from its original glossy black, unfortunately this resulted in the loss of the rad logo.
  8. I have also noticed that this time of the year is like a tinderbox of emotion. its like people try so hard to destress that they are more stressed.
  9. I have had a cold for 2 weeks. Sore throat and a headache, with a general feeling of crappiness.
  10. if you are on your own and want company, wait at the robots by the flea market, im sure a couple of peeps will come on by. My spidey senses tingle riding through that place.
  11. Guys, they wont be able to fasten it properly..........DUHHHHH!
  12. Keep it til you go to a bachelors party or a big messy bday party. Helmet + 6pack of beer+ Duct Tape + some tubing = Party Beer Helmet. (or screw a couple of cheap bottle cages on) if you are into that sort of thing.
  13. 105 - i would be interested in a bulk order of the cables if i cannot find them locally.
  14. @Milky, those look interesting, but for aesthetics have you tried to find compression less cable housing? i have a set of mechanical disc brakes: Shimano R-517 / SM-RT54-S (160/160) and have no problems, but have read online that compressionless cables provide quite a noticeable upgrade in braking power
  15. congrats on the bike, enjoy the hunt for another wheelset.
  16. i was proper sick for a week at the beginning of this month. Pretty nuts fever, absolutely crazy headache and burning eyes, with a nose that felt like i had snorted cement. Been doing nothing exerting for 3 weeks, because although i am symptom free (apart from this damn blocked nose) i still feel off, decided i had had enough and NEEDED to go for a ride. Took a chilled ride, but man, there is still something lurking inside, i felt terrible. Like bonking, but after a ride that would get me the opposite of a PB. My mind wants to fly, but my body can only crawl.
  17. the bit that is discoloured and "torn" i assume that is *Supposed to be permanently fastened? The actual release looks like it is the plastic nut, you undo that and the handlebar holder thing comes loose? in that case i would try superglue the snapped/torn part back where it came out of.
  18. shame man, that is a swak one, i also need a bell. On another note, Cryotherapy sessions are like R500 per session, we get ours for free......i am still cold from this am cycle.
  19. i don't know what it is, but some shops feel inviting, others don't........ i personally don't actually know what it is. example, i just dig the Giant shop in town......its just got a cool vibe IMO.
  20. i am using Vee tyres - 40c Rail's i think they are called - they leak sealant out the sidewalls like a siev. Using Stans, im hoping they are better after the next sealant topup.
