I bought a Merida 29'er with, in my opinion, a bit of a dog Suntour fork. Thinking of replacing it with a Reba dual air fork. Just in terms of relative gain in riding technical sections and speed of descent, will the difference be mind blowing or barely noticeable?

It will be noticeable from a weight perspective and performance I think. Maybe not as much as you think at first.

All suspension forks compress and rebound on the big hits. That is the easy part to get right. It's the bits in between that matter. Mid range and small bump performance is what will make the difference.

Above opinion is based on my wife's Merida with SR Suntour fork vs my Fuji with a Reba Team.

I actually preffered the suntour on my Big Nine to the Recon silver on my Scott

Just can't seem to get the rebound sorted so lekka. I'm sure a dual air fork

would be a be a huge improvement though..
