i saw an emai where City officials have refuted the rumours that the velodrome & the athletics track will be demolished. was a pleasant surprise to see a decent crowd at the drome on Friday night. imho, that is when track meetings should be held, on Friday nites , not on Tuesday nites when the youngsters must do homework and go to school the next day.

I fully agree. Trackcyclingsa is moving our Track on Tuesday to a Friday evening if there are no calendar clashes with the road (e.g. seeding events). It is ideal for example to go with the family and/or friends to a restaurant for supper and then to come and watch live sport entertainment at the velodrome for FREE from 7-9pm.

 

The Trackcyclingsa Track on Tuesday was scheduled for 6 Nov, but then our ride will now move to 9 Nov. Do you now of any road events on the 10th?

At Hector Norris Park there are Bikes available for loan/try out, just bring your own pedals and shoes. Racing every Sat afternoon.

I am certain Pilditch in PTA have the same situation, contact Sheldon Bole.

Track cycling got some Loto money many years ago and this was use for the rental/loaner/try out track bikes at all tracks
