MTB wheel Fundis ...need an answer

I have a set of mtb Easton wheels EA 70 XCT and want to convert the hub to 142x 12

According to the info I was told it should be able to to convert to 142x12 by replacing the end caps and I suppose changing the axle, much like the stans hubs I assume

Has anyone done this or have any guidance on the way forward

I think you might have the incorrect information.

The Easton wheels come in two different hub versions, you get the 10x135 (standard QR) and then you get the 12x135/12x142-millimeter.

For the 12x135/12x142-millimeter version, it comes standard out the box configured with end caps for 142mm, and a spare set of caps to convert down to 12x135.

If you have the normal QR version you cannot convert it to 12x142.

If this is the set you ordered from CRC, They only had 12x 135/142 in stock - then you don't have to do anything, it's all ready to GO!!!

PS> The 142 axle usually comes with the frame or you have to buy it yourself, it's not ever included with any wheels.

** I take it you got CRC to change it from 26 to 29 for you :whistling:
