Silver Oaks Cycling Challenge is a new event to be held in the east of Pretoria in order to benefit the development of school leavers, and we as organisers invite you to participate in this project.

 

Total prize money of R300 000 is up for grabs!!!!!! Check out the website for route map and details on the different sections.

 

There will be partial road closures in order to keep cyclists as safe as possible. There is also a fully supervised kiddies corner with a lot of activities planned for smaller children.

Im in for this one, my annual tar ride - really hope it happens - plenty of traffic that needs to be re-routed.

I have it on very good authority that one reaches speeds in excess of 80km/h down that hill if there is no head wind... You have to get aero though

Hi argie1. We had meetings with Metro this week and this particular issue was pointed out to them. They've undertaken to fix it very soon.

The weather prediction solemnly promises no rain in Pretoria after 10am tomorrow.

So we should be okay down Rigel

What route is to be used to park for the race on Sunday and where will parking be available, as I am sure there will quite a conjestion at the start.
