patches Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 That would have been the 1st option patches, but according to the 2nd comment on that exact thread, that bike is sold... darn it! unlucky! there was also a brakeless diampndback trials bike going for R2000 not too long ago. Could have it running as a regular trials bike for aroun 4000 ronds.
MISA Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 I have scoured the net, this site and just about everywhere else trying to find a trials bike, short of selling grandma into slavery to raise the tin needed to import a trials specific bike from the UK I am outa options, thus I struck upon the idea of perhaps doing one conversion and all to the bike above, us "deben people" are sharp at converting things....
HaydenWilson Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 (edited) Have you checked out the trials in south africa facebook group? the one guy on there (cant remember his name) was selling his mongoose fireball that had been converted to trials. As far as i recall, he got a fixed front fork, converted it to SS and got a much smaller front cog. but check them out, they might be able to at least point you in the right direction. MISA Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 Ta for the replies, I have the above moongoose already in my stable, so not looking to buy another of the same but different if that makes sense, in other news.. my "parcel" from tarty landed at OR tambo last night.... now for the long wait for it to arrive in dirtbin so I can collect it....
