Help With Beginners MTB Bike

Hi Noob here.

 

I'm interested in getting into Mountain biking. I want to go pick up a bike next week sometime, what would be a good option to start with...

 

I've been reading that Hardtails are a good beginners options, any advice on which ones to get and where to buy.

 

Im in CPT.

What sort of budget are you looking at? Axis is a good option. Probably the best value for money MTB on the market. They start at R2 000 or so.

I'm looking to spend anything from 2000 - 3000 on a bike.

Its worth mentioning that I dont want to do extremely technical trails, just some relatively easy offroad trails and maybe some road biking

This one however has Shimano M375 Mechanical Disc Brakes, I've read that Modern Machanical brakes can often be almost as good as Hyrdraulic brakes. Does this fall under that category.
