I'm going on business trip to East London on Thursday and Friday this week and wanting to try and get a ride in on Thursday around 1630 and/or Friday morning around 0630.

I will be staying in Bunkers Hill.Could anyone give me a possible route that I could follow for a 1 1 /2 to 2 hour ride from there please.

Let's just hope the weather is ok

From Bunkershill, head across to Beacon Bay and then to Gonubie. Once in Gonubie follow the road down and around to the right. It winds it's way back up to the main road. This follows the coastline and is really pretty. Plot a route on google maps. The ride is on tar and pavements . Try and stick to the old coastal road. I lived there briefly, in Bunkershill, and this was the safest option when cycling on my own. There have been a lot of horrible incidents. The roadies meet at Erics corner at 5.00 for a ride (T,W,Th). This is at the top of Beach road in Nahoon. They set quite a good pace and there is safety in numbers! I suppose you are used to the wind! Goodluck........lot's of broken glass so be prepared!

Hi the gonubie route is out. Theyre rebuilding the N2 and there is massive traffic jam heading in and out of town, the back route through floradale is super dangerous as it's narrow and the traffic is crazy as all the gonubie people are trying to get out or in as quickly as possible.

May favourite route is on the N6 towards Stutt. and back. if you go 25km out and back you'll climb about 500m more or less. There is a wide yellow lanes and is pretty safe, been riding it for 4years and no problems.

I'd be more than happy to join you on thursday at 1630. imnot the fastest oke on the planet. But I can show you the way and you can take it from there.
