Loved this bike and it has treated me very well, but I feel it is time to upgrade. Budget - Max R10k GT Looked at the GT 2012 - No stock anymore and 2013 Series 3 is just under R10k. Giant TCR2 for R8850 Merida 2012 Think it was the lite at about R9800 Cannondale CAAD 8 - R11k (nice) I know we don't talk about better, faster specially in the price category - but I only have experience with GT and have no idea what other brands can offer like Scott, Specialised, Felt etc? Recommendations please? If I may ask what is the current value of your current GT Series 3 and what are the specs?- groupset is it 105 or SRAM Rival? Alu frame or Carbon? Another thought - If the new bikes you are looking at fall in the same price range sas youre existing bike - why not take the R10k you willing to spend and spend it on parts and components. get a new wheelset expensive one like mavicupgrade derailleurs and crankset and cassetteupgrade pedals Once you have done these you will have a new bike that will be worth far much more than a complete new bike for R10k. PS - Tiagra set Point to notice is wanting a new frame is good only if will have advantages over your current frame. If it is made of the same material and weights roughly the same you have not gained in actual performance when you out on the road!
