Ok:

Big lever has 2 options left or right. Left is open/soft. When in left/soft position, the 1,2,3 pro-pedal setting has no effect. Prop-pedal only works when the big lever is set to the right/firm. 3 = Most firm and 1 least firm.

This is the setup of the pre-2013 rp23.

Mine looks like this.

LBS told me firm(3) was "lockout" and the 0 1 2 were plushness settings.

That`s a 2013 model:

Big lever has 2 options left or right. Left is open/soft. When in left/soft position and the 0 setting = the most open/soft it can be. 1 Firms it up slightly and 2 firms it up more. When the lever is in the right/firm position the 0,1,2 setting has no effect.

So I would suggest keeping it in the 2 setting and just flick the big lever, left/soft for downhills and right/firm for climbs.

There is no lockout on a rp23...there is only full open on propedal(adjusted by your blue levertjie). The 1-2-3 setting only applies to when the shock is on propedal and adjusts the firmness thereof. I can't remember which is the more firmer option but even on it, there is still a bit of give
