Soft Tail vs Dual suspension

It truly is.

 

Perhaps the purist's idea of a soft tail would be the one below? A variation of the Allsop Softride built by Gary Mathis of Fat City Cycles. The beauty of this frame is that it made of steel, there is no "shock unit" and I think (but could be wrong)....this is the only one ever to go under the Fat Chance lable.

Oh, technically it's also a "rubber nose" suspension bike. (yes i just made that up), but it's a true example of a full rigid bike that is full suspension.

 

Suspend the rider, not the bike!!! :-)
