94.7 55km MTB race yesterday

I thought I posted this yesterday but it vanished so I'll try again.

 

 

Who did the 55km MTB ride yesterday? I did it, but the combination of less than sufficient fitness, gears not working properly and a slow rear wheel puncture made it a very long and tough ride :-(

 

I enjoyed the course, although the last 500m were a bit strange!

Most of the bottlenecks were rideable, but not if you were behind someone that couldn't of course!

 

Plenty of medics and support people who seemed nicely on top of things.

 

Saw quite a few tumbles towards the end - probably from fatigue. Medics were on hand though - hope everyone was ok.

 

Looking forward to next Sunday now :-)
