I know it is going to be different than previous years.....but am I right when I am saying that our "Team Support Vehicle" will only meet up with us in Ashton?

Ashton is at +- 110kms into the race. What happens before that in terms of support?

Will we have to rely on water-points till we get to Ashton?

Not 100% on the rules but you can take your normasl waterbottles and they will also have a cooler box for each team at around 40 km I think where you can get new full botlles and then you donate yore empty bottles.

Two bottles should be fine for 100 km though.

Water points: (These designated areas are for cyclists only)

  • Top of Tradouw Pass (approx. 43km from the start) – Water bottle exchange. Riders will be given a bottle filled with water. Any old bottles left at this station will be donated. This point is operated by Event Staff.
  • Top of Op de Tradouw Pass – Feeding station. Teams will be given a cooler bag and 12 bottles that may be filled with team nutrition and handed in to the organisers at Registration on 23 November at the Swellendam show grounds, by no later than 22h00. These bags will be refrigerated overnight. Bags will be numbered and handed to the first rider of each respective team, as they enter the feed station. Please note that only cyclists may retrieve these bags and will not be handed to any support staff. This point is operated by Event Staff.

Thanks for the help! Did you get the info form the DC site? I can't seem to find it.
