Mr SingleTrack, shall we petition the powers-that-be to view a HubSA comment in the same light as a paper serviette contract?

Sometime, regardless the outcome of my above comment, count yourself as recruited to the herd for next year!

I'm now riding for a different charity on Sunday but I do have something called the Cape Epic before next years 94.7 so maybe I can raise some money for CHOC there. Otherwise next year sounds like a great idea.

Forgot to mention, you can raise funds by means of any race. We have a fair number of cows at the Argus as well. And I seem to remember somthing about a cow team or 2 at the last Epic

Quite keen on this as well. Do not have somebody/somewhere to put my timing chip starting the second lap.

Will wrapping it in tin foil and putting it in my back pocket prevent the sensors from picking it up?

Just wrap it onto your handle bar. No kidding!

Spoke to the Racetec people today. It 'should' be fine to just put it in your back pocket. Other option is to ask one of them to hold it while you ride over the mats.I'm going all anti alien. Will wrap it in tinfoil (hopefully a lightweight diy Faraday Cage (untested - some theory behind it though) and hold it above my head.

Can anybody confirm that there are start groups after 10am

SS is at 9:56, TT @ 10:02, UU @ 10:08, VV @ 10:14 & WW @ 10:20 ?

I used to race with my chip on my ankle. One year my foot was on the top of the crank revolution and they didn't pick up the chip, if that helps. That's why they recommend you use the chip holder thingy.
