Hi i want to know if someone could help me i have a felt compulsion 4 and want to know how hard i can pump me rear shock as i find it i bit to soft i weigh 95 kg and want it to be quite hard and dont want it to bottom out on small jumps the rear shock is a fox float r xv thanks so much in advance

Take a shock pump and add 5 psi, set the compression rubber( if you have one, if not use a cable tie around the compression arm of the shock) and sit on the bike with all your riding kit without bouncing on the bike, check how far your shock compresses, you should only have about 10-15% compression, if you have more add another 5 psi and so on and so forth until its right.

Once this is set you should find it hard to bottom out except off some of the higher jumps you may encounter.

Rule of thumb is roughly 2x your body weight - 20 psi as a starting point on most shocks, may be different for yours though. Check the fox web site for your exact weight and psi setting if you want, me I only use the sag method but different stokes for different folks and all.
