Bicycling 24 Hour MTB 2012 - Schedule

 

 

30 November (Friday)- Set up day at Van Gaalen

Course is closed for set up

No camping overnight.

 

1 December (Saturday)

 

07:00 Camp opens

08:00 Registration opens

11:00 Registration closes

11:15 Cars to be removed from Camp areas (Park in carpark, vehicles that have attached tents only allowed)

11:40 Race briefing for Captains and Solo riders.

11:50 First lap riders & solo riders at start for “Le Mans” start

12:00 Official Start - “Le Mans” running start to bikes.

15:00 Slow Race (Main Area) - (Approx times)

15:30 Cheese Challenge - (Approx times)

16:00 Beer Games - (Approx times)

17:00 Bike Chuck - (Approx times)

18:30 (Approx) Lights must be fitted to bikes and ready.

19:30 Big screen begins (various content)

22:00 Naked lap challenge

23:00 PA Services shut down for the night.

24:00 Bike Burning Ceremony

2 December (Sunday)

 

08:00 PA Services re-commence

12:00 Official race end. Course closes.

13:30 All riders finished (Approx)

14:00 Presentations/Prize giving (Pack up camps before this)

 

 

NB: If you are Solo rider or think you may be too tired to drive we HIGHLY recommend that you arrange someone else to drive you home after this event.
