BB quick Advice

I did some searching and could not find the exact answer i needed..but its fairly simple i hope and just need some guidance/confirmation. I need to replace my BB but am struggling to accurately determine what i need. In the past i have pulled it out and gone to my LBS and asked for "one of these please" but now I am wanting to do some spare shopping so cant really do that - its is also the first time i have needed to replace the BB on this particular bike. So based upon the following what do it need

 

73mm BB

XX 2x10 crankset (GXP, PressFit GXP, BB30, PressFit 30)

 

Not too concerned about the ceramic bearings - so looking at CRC is this the right replacement?

Its either GXP or BB30

If you screw it in and out its a GXP as per that CRC product. the BB30 have to be press-fitted into the frame, although you do get an adapter to take the conventional screw in type.

 

Its more than likely the 68/73mm - English Thread - but check the specs on your bike. Then you have to fit the right spacers on it, but that's covered in the instructions that come with the bb.

 

Also check CWC for GXP BB prices, not too bad last time I needed one.

If the crank shaft has an OD - outer diameter of 30mm it is a BB 30 - otherwise it is a GXP - it will have a step down on the shaft form an OD 24mm to 22mm.

That looks like GXP mate - just buy one at LBS/CWC/Buycycle.

 

They should be about R 400 a pop I think.

cool thanks - im pretty sure it is - was just wanting to make 100% sure - looking at crc cos my sis is coming over and have some additional stuff that i am buying
