Zatek Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 After 12 months of use my roller started making a knocking noise. It sounds better after greasing the bearings. Must I replace the bearings or complete drum?How much does it cost to replace bearings or drum and where can I get the parts.

carbon29er Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I have a Fortius that got very noisy. The roller is a drum covered with a stainless steel band. Turns out the outer band was getting loose and the noise was it moving on the drum rather than with the drum. I fixed it by drilling out the anchor points between the band and the drum and filling them with epoxy. Once dry, the band seats properly on the drum and the trainer is as quite and a tyre on smooth tar. If you think this might be your issue let me know and I'll post the links to the pictures of what I did.
