Cradle Tomorrow 23 December?

Afternoon hubbers. I want to do my first Cradle ride tomorrow, but have a few questions.

 

What would the best route be for me to get there from Valerie Avenue, Northcliff, just off 14th Avenue? And how do you normally ride the Cradle in terms of which way around?

 

Furthermore, is anybody going out that side tomorrow morning early I can join up with? Still finding my bearings and lungs here in Jozies.

Hi "dude", would love to have joined you, but down with the flu. To get to the cradle is easy, from 14th Ave get onto Hendrik Potgieter & drive towards Krugersdorp, pass Makro on your right drive on until you get a MAJOR intersection R14 PTA Highway, turn right at the robot, drive +- 5 Kms you will get the Muldersdrift turn off, just after you have taken the turn of, you will see a restaurant on your right, most of us leave our cars there, the route you tke is pretty much up to you, you will obviously have to start your ride from the retsuarant.

Is there any way I can cycle there all the way from home, or is that not adviseable? Don't really like driving my car to go cycle.

Hi, yes you can, but at the moment not advisable due to road works just before the freeway, the road there is really terrible.

I was going to post the exact same post today. Did my first ride today there, awesome place. A cycling heaven. Met Daryl Impey, Robbie Hunter and a lot of other pro's.

I wouldn't be able to tell you routes because i don't know the roads names.

Tomorrow i will be doing 2 and a bit loops so around 120km. Starting very late (8 am) as my dad doesn't feel like getting up early.

When you go past the Rhino and Lion park have a look out for the tiger and lions in the enclosures on the opposite side of the road!
