  1. Ok scratch that thanks! Any other teams you know of?
  2. What is the tally now? Specialized Ghost Factory Trek Imbuko Giant ( )
  3. That's crazy! Good example of why positioning is important. And to make sure you don't lose that group/line going over
  4. Man that explains why the front group of @ dropped me on Suikerbossie And why we could get on again as they sat up.
  5. My segment data is from Strava. Times below at the end of each segment: Edinburg Drive 1.7 km at 5% - 366 watts - 4:12 Smitswinkel 1.6 km at 5% - 357 watts - 4:01 Little Chappies 1.4 km at 4% - 356 watts - 2:57 Chappies Main 1.7 km at 5% - 367 watts - 4:22 Suikerbossie 1.9 km at 7% - 377 watts - 5:16
  6. Nice report, DnD But what kit did you wear?! We must have "brushed" shoulders. Was actually just to the left of the incident on chappies. I was in black assos bib and black ciovita top with black helmet and stupid white framed glasses. Giant black/blue/white bike.
  7. Nice write up, Braam. And well done To add some data, average power (from Garmin Vector pedals) on the climbs for me starting in @. I weigh 84 kg. In or near the front group over most except for dropping off just before the top of Chappies and Suikerbossie, but getting back on. Edinburg Drive 1.7 km at 5% - 366 watts Smitswinkel 1.6 km at 5% - 357 watts Little Chappies 1.4 km at 4% - 356 watts Chappies Main 1.7 km at 5% - 367 watts Suikerbossie 1.9 km at 7% - 377 watts Average power for the whole ride was only 186 watts! Shows how important intervals are!
  8. Yes, but where were you guys?! You definitely didn't go to Suikerbossie this morning
  9. The last 5/6km from Bedoin and Sault is the same. I was lucky enough to do Ventoux a few years back. And stupid enough to do all three sides in one day ???? Started Bedoin and first 6km or so was, this is fine, only 4%. Until you turn up through the forest which goes to over 10%. That hurt! Was a long day out and weather was up and down, like the road, but great experience! My ride on Strava: https://www.strava.com/activities/717608449

Was also confused after your first post ???? And can you send your friend's one as well to compare? And last question, was it you that went up Taal monument after the Paarl race?
  11. Nice Diesel, will see you there, maybe between everyone ????

Interesting. Would it be possible to send a screenshot of both your index/ride used for seeding? Want to check something.

Here is sportive # 7: Sun 08/12/2019 PPA Sportive #7 (102km) Adjusted winning time: 02:26:37 Actual winning time: 02:36:30 Beta: 0.98
  14. Nice report, Sku. Out of interest, what was your index for the ride?
  15. Perfect conditions. Legs getting there slowly. I can only get racing fit with racing. Maybe too lazy in training ???? And the others? Rode out a bit on Adderley and weather was getting hot and felt for the guys out for long. Hope it was ok?
  16. So far I can see: $ 6:00 # 6:05 % 6:10 B 6:17 C 6:19 D 6:21 K 6:33 U 6:49

    Wouldn't it be Sam Gaze?
  18. Yip, was thinking the same. 100 guys in A group trying to race through D'Urbanvale ????
  19. Can't really expect your seeding to improve in a relatively easy race? Hope you still get your $ seeding in the CTCT though ???? 99er would help much more I think!
  20. I'm sure it's just provisional, but they have used the following for the Paarl race as from the Seeding tab on the Pedal Power website: Winning time adjusted: 2:07:09 (actual 2:19:12) Beta: 0.9 Edit: wrong actual winning time initially
  21. Relatively flat and easy race, so don't expect too much help from the Beta. And neither from winner's time adjustment I think.
