Last night on "I did not know that" on National Gegraphic channel, they had a short insert on how the Orange bikes (no, not Orbeas) are made in England. Damn, there goes alot of work into it.

i met the twins who are part of the outfit that import them to sa at logwood, and then the dh nats at gilooly's, a while back. nice guys! someone, i think it was zenon, said peaty may be coming out here in a coupla months

would've loved to get one of their reissued limited edition clockwork orange bikes. real beaut!

 

 

In the early 90s Steve Bowman brought one of these back from the UK. He raced for them while he lived there....even spotted him in MBUK a couple times

there was a limited edition (about 2000) re-release about two years back. but there was only a handful brought here.

Orange bikes seem to be well established in the UK as they are widely advertised in UK publications, like Mountain Bike UK.

One of there DS models have the same suspension setup as Commecial (that funny rocker system).

ja, GM kicked Orange into international fame. Won his world cup title in 2001 on one when riding under Global Racing colours.
