What about the flux and a other stuff - can you get the silver rods etc locally? Sorry about all the questions - I have the Paterek manual, Chimonas' book and have downloaded just about all of Littlefish's tutorials - dead keen to do it too. Build a couple of frames, see how they go, then spread the knowledge.... I would love to get involved in a framebuilding collective. Good luck, and loads of pics, please! gummibear 1

Not rushing with this one as i still need to source myself a Porta Pak. Dont want to rent or borrow, dont believe in borrowing tools. As for the tubeset, got that local and im not telling you where LOL, the rest of the stuff like the flux, silver solder etc is also available local so no need to import. Although i do suspect that in the future i will have to import tubesets. As for the brazing, yeah reading books and watching videos sure will help you to grasp the basics but trust me the first time you squeeze that striker and light up that torch you will shite yourself lol. But as with most thing in life practice makes perfect. And as with the carbon work i am more than willing to share my knowledge. You just need to ask Chro Mo 1

Silver solder rods will work perfect. Do not need flux as they are coated with their own flux. With those rods and other type of rods I can help. Chro Mo 1
