Thanks!

Anyone looking for a Go Pro body mount?

Don't get ride of it too quickly. I've had decent results from it. You just need to play around a bit - make sure it is pretty tight on your chest. Make sure the base plate is flush against your body. Also, if wearing a camelback, tighten the camelback straps over your chesty mount. Anything that keeps it tight against your body will improve the stability.

But obviously, if you are bombing down a rock garden, your video is going to bounce :-)

Ja would probably come in handy when snorkeling or sky diving etc.

I got the head mount and chest mount. Don't like how the head mount gives no sense of depth, can be cool if you're following someone though.

I like the chest strap, because you can get the bars in the picture. However a few things a picked up with the chest mount:

1: Need to mount in upside down mode

2. Need to make sure the mount is as tight as possible

3. I found in normal wide angle (170) it was too wide, and got my whole arms in the picture, and it just looks weird. Have to experiment with a less of wide angle

4. Tighten the gopro to the mount PROPERLY, or you may get to the bottom of run with some nice footage of your manhood jiggling around down the trail!

Never tried a bar mount as I've heard that they're just bumpy footage? Can someone post a link to a video with your K-edge mount?

The GoPro plastic mount with extension is not nearly as stable as the K-edge mount.

From Prologue to Lourensford with the K-edge, I had no problems. It survived 2 crashes where I had to dust the camera (and myself) off and point it level again after it was facing skywards.

That is probably why you should not over tighten the bolt right underneath the camera, so it can still move around when it needs to when you crash, instead of breaking the housing or mount. Lesson learned.

Change the video quality to 480p for better quality.

No one has yet answered my question regarding optimal settings for the best youtube quality?

That's some awesome footage Tankman!

Will def give the K-edge a check. As for the optimal settings, I'm relatively new to the camera game- but will play around soon in the Transkei, can't wait. 25 days of MTB
