Came across this.... Wonder what the logic behind this is? Maybe the new standard to be pushed by manufactures after 650b

It is called a 69er. The idea is not new at all, I saw them for the first time 2008. The logic behind the concept was to capture the best of both worlds; 29'' up front to roll over trail obstacles better and 26" at the back for better handling. Somehow the idea never took off.... I must say it is one ugly beast.

96ers and 69ers... depends on which is in the front and which is in the back...

I will find the pictures j have somewhere of an awesome trek 69er and you tell me if its crap!! Ha ha. There have been a couple for sale on the hub here over the years.
