Im 100% sure they are real, but also 100% sure they are factory rejects! We've had 2 lose their ears completely, not broken off, just off... but this is out of about 12 sets. Other than that, a few little blemishes like the weird colours in the ceramic etc..

I had to have my Stator replaced on my Versys, had it rewired and it worked flawlessly....

Test rode one years ago and was left feeling the same. Its a 2 cylinder honda jazz (it really is) and thats what it is. A commuter, lots of storage etc etc etc

Smeg recently bought La Pavoni, those levers are awesome, I have owned and sold quite a few of them over the years. I currently own their rarer cousin, the Eurobar. There is one currently on marketplace in Cape Town for about R6k ish, but its missing some bits. Buying new at R12k is ok. Parts and spares are ok, quite easy to get locally. Guys like coffee sensor etc online keep everything for them.

You have to remove the main cover, but once it's off everything is right there. Probably just the tap seals in there binding up.
