I normally ride from Broadacres out to the cradle and back. Wanting to stick a run on the back of the ride on Saturday.....where's the best route from Broadacres?

Cedar road is ridiculously busy with cars at that time. Should I rather park and run somewhere else?

Your advice please.

The guys/gals normally run out the back of Broadacres on the gravel and tar roads. Not sure of the route as we pass them on MTB's.

Plenty of dirt and tar roads to do at least a 10km brick.

Go out the back, keep right onto a dirt road which then swings left, just keep going down the hill. When you hit the end, turn left. When you get to 5km, turn round and retrace steps. The run back up the hill is long and will make you tough.

Perfect. Thanks.

Kinda wish the hill was in the first 5km but I guess if it was easy everyone would do it.

I park at Something Country at the cradle itself do my cycling then do a 10k brick afterwards. Much safer.

Yeah I've done this. Turned right at the circle and ran down the hill to the circle at the bottom of Satellite hill - turning around and running back up was not so much fun :whistling:

Only disadvantage for me is that Broadacres is closer. But safety is an issue

No you must not turn right lad. Left is the way to go back to the circle round the circle and home yes a bit of a uphill but nothing like the other way :)

You can buy a bag of chips but you can't buy experience.

I dont like that hill to the right. At the top of that hill is a sign post in the middle of the emergency lane. In march i had just done a 150k session and had 30k's to go. I was very tired and not paying attention. Wham smack into the sign post. That ended my session immediately and I retreated home with a very bruised ego but otherwise ok
