Calling off the Tour of SA has nothing to do with him, and in all probability he wasn't even on the committee making the decision to call it off. How can you accuse him of stuff if you know sweet f**kall? It's like me accusing you of causing global warming.

But he is the man in charge of the body that is supposed to promote the sport? No? Or just sit back in look after the chosen few and that's all? Like I've said before you cannot be a national sport administrator in this country without a healthy dose of ignorance and cronyism.

Oh, and for the record, I do contribute to global warming.

Because you're talking out off your ass?

Lawrence Whitaker and David Bellairs is in charge of getting sponsorship. The Tour of SA the organisers where supposed to get sponsorship, not DB or LW. They could not do that - subsequently it was called off.

Lemmer is in charge of operations - which according to everyone that knows something (that excludes you) - has been doing well.

Whether it is acceptable to appear on television, representing CSA, in a T-shirt or not, it can never, under any circumstances, be acceptable for any representative of a cycling body to be seen cycling without a helmet on.

Besides the fact that it is against the law to cycle without a helmet, someone in a position like the subject of this thread should set a good example.

Unfortunately I have never seen CL/LE wearing a helmet other than at races/funrides, where it is obligatory to do so.  No matter what his contribution to cycling is, this is just not acceptable.

If he has been cycling with a helmet since he has taken up the position (I don't know when that was and can't remember when I last saw him cycling) I apologise outright for jumping the gun.

Nevermind popeye. Part of being the man in charge is supposed to be taking the bullets' date=' justified or not, and I know I'm not the only cyclist who feels the way I do. [/quote']

Yes, I agree BTB, I dont know much about the CSA, or how Mr Lemmer always has a smile on his face (as if that matters) or how actively he rides his bike (who cares) or what he dos or dosnt do, but watching the show last night I couldnt help but wonder if he was for real, not only did he appear out of his depth but it looked as if he lived under a bridge.

Surely he could have made some sort of effort to prepare (I very much doubt if they "sprung" the questions on him), he would have known before hand what was going down and maybe combed his hair and put on a decent shirt.

I am sorry, I cant take him seriously.

Hey Bob suggest you visit the following site and read the news there.  You might then figure out who is in charge of the body controlling the sport

Sorry, you go do your own research. I charge quite a bit. If your point is that others are responsible, then lets have them on TV so they can take the bullets then

Ok, I only have a degree, but apparently not in the language you write in. Your post is incoherent.

That said, if that is the case then at least provide this gimp the answers before you as CSA send him out in front of the public, or failing that, send out the relevant parties, and we'll ask them.

There seem to be some points that I, as well as some others contend with.

1. What is CSA doing for the average cyclist? - one who know has to pay CSA money if they even ride only one race a year

2. What does CSA do with the money we give them?

3. How am I as a paying constituent of CSA supposed to have faith in someone who looks like that?

Bob, my friend, lets try and be constructive.  When someone points out that you are incorrect in your assumptions, simply apologise for getting the wrong end of the stick.  If you had seen SuperCycling reasonably regularly you would know that both Dave Bellairs and Lawrence Whittaker have been on the show in recent times.  You would also know if you listened to the show and read Carinus' reply to the posts here what his responsibility areas are, and that he would have loved the opportunity to expand on what had been done.  What has been done is that we are further done the road with an effective licensing system than ever before.  A standardised seeding system is also imminent - as in it just needs cyclist results (data).  Again something that has not previously been in place.  Those are the areas that Carinus' was tasked with.

OK. Can I get my license fee back and give it to Sign Up then?

Oh' date=' and I don't watch stupid cycling often exactly because of last night's episode in embarrasment. Don't worry, I have numerous e-mails to MultiChoice regarding their content too.  [/quote']

Wow, you're my hero.
