I am heading for Europe (Denmark) and want to bring my Mountainbike with me.

I can't bring it with the Airline as my bagage allowance is completely spent.

Does any one know of a good (cheap) cargo/shipping agent they can recommend? (It needs to be by air)

Thanks,

Christian

If you want a cheap shipping agent, the I presume your bike is cheap(ish)? In that case, leave your bike at home. It can cost a couple of grand to ship out, then ship back.

I had the same problem moving to the UK, so I put my bikes in the container and ordered a fixie here for a couple of grand. Much cheaper and a lot less hassle.

Which airline? Check terms and conditions as sporting equipment is an extra allowance.

Nope. Checked that. The only "sporting goods" are golf clubs. Bicycles form part of your normal baggage allowance.

For most arilines, the charge is about R500 per kilo over weight. So 10kgs of bike, packaging and so on will cost around R5000 one way!
