Stolen Scott Aspect 920 - Parklands

Hello Everyone,

Sorry that my first ever post here had to be this...

My Scott Aspect 920 was taken from my garage in the early hours of the morning on the 7th of July.

It has a black frame and while lettering and graphics. Still has the Schwalbe Rapid Rob tyres on it. Shimano gears and brakes and rock shox at the front.

I put on Giant LED lamps at the front and rear. And it has a little underseat tool pouch.

I will update with photos a little later.

Cheers,

Eugene

Sorry to hear of your loss. How did they get into your garage? Side or main door?

Thanks Cippo.

They got in via a side door.

I am in a complex, so they needed to get into the complex, then over a wall into my driveway. Then into the garage. They then wheeled the bike out of the front gate of the driveway (which they unlocked from the inside) and then I have no idea how they got past security as there are apparently security beams or wires around the perimeter which should have gone off had they tried to hop over.

Maybe they were gutsy enough to ride straight past the main gate.

Sorry for your loss and hopes for a quick recovery!

Thanks shaper.

The security company is looking into it, and have mentioned restitution. Personally I would just like to catch who did it. I am not a fan of the insurance-paid-it-never-happened vibe.

If nothing else was stolen in your complex possibility you were targeted alone and someone had tipped them off. I have heard of syndicates placing people in complexes on a lease agreement in order to target residents. I would ask for a cameramreview if any. Your bike might still be in the complex.

I don't believe anything else has gone missing - or rather, security did not mention any other incidents.

That is truly scary about the syndicates! Thanks for the tip, I will ask them if they have any footage.
