SA DHI Champs - Zuurberg (Eastern Cape)

Very cool weekend in the Eastern Cape. The venue for the 2013 DHI SA champs was just outside Addo and the Eastern Cape boys put a great track together.

 

The track was fairly tight up top (the 3rd turn ended my race run after I wound up on my head ) which then lead into some great switch backs, before the 1st scaffold drop, the rock steps, down an awesome gnarly gully, the fence drop n double and then the dreaded pedal to the line. Should have taken the GoPro.

 

The racing up front was super tight, until Tiaan Odendaal crossed the line and destroyed all the others. Took the win by 4 secs! He's now both the SA series winner and SA Champ.
