If you know someone who is battling , get them on a bike !

I just went through 3 years of hell ... and if it was not for my bike..... I would not be sane today.

I lost my dad last year September. He taught me to ride early on and we did all the fun rides around JHB and then Argus when I came down to study at Stellies. He really loved the bike (motorized and pedal) and I started cycling again in my late 20's. now every time I get on a bike it reminds me of those good times. Now I have son (11 months) and cannot wait to ride with him and have the same experiences. And so the cycle of life continues, pun intended. And my next Epic is for the old man.

cool story!!

i've come to the same conclusion many times in my life. even in 2013 i still believe that bikes are the ultimate invention and even with its simplicity i'm sure it has brought more smiles to the world than anything else i know of

That's amazing ! Savor the moments of the past and with your son ! They are ( I think a foundation of a great father son relationship )crucial to being well balanced ( pardon my pun) . The times riding you can teach him so much as u have his undivided attention .

We use to have discussion of philosophy etc on those rides.

What amazing time awaits you !
