Stiggy Posted August 7, 2013 Share I currently use a compact crank and an 11/28 cassette?Would it matter if I change that to a 12/25 cassette? or do I need to change the chainset too?What would be the ideal cassette to change to? droo Posted August 7, 2013 Share If you keep the same number of sprockets (ie. 10sp, 9sp etc etc) you'll be fine. Ideal cassette depends on where you ride and how strong you are. If you never use the bottom gear, get a smaller one. If you k@k off in the lowest gear, get a bigger one. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
